What is home automation good for?
Home automation makes a home more comfortable and secur. It also helps to save energy.
What is a control system?
A control system consists of input sensors, a processor and output devices.
For example (e.g.) an alarm system consists of movement detectors (sensors), the central unit that processes the sensors signals and, in case of alarm, makes the diaphone sound.
There are different control systems

There are also different types of network configurations.

How do the components of a control system (nodes) communicate?
The nodes use analog or digital signals to communicate.
Analog signals are continuous, e.g. a guitar string producing a tone.
